Accessibility statement

People who report incidents include night-shift nurses on a phone and plant staff wearing gloves. The site and the product have to work for everyone.

Our standard

We build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. We check changes with keyboard-only navigation and automated tests, and we are adding regular screen-reader testing. We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, and we do not claim a conformance certification.

What is built in

  • Semantic landmarks, one H1 per page, and a logical heading order.
  • A skip link to the main content on every page.
  • Visible focus indicators, and full keyboard operation of menus, tabs, forms and accordions.
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 in light and dark color schemes. The site follows your system setting.
  • Labels, error messages and instructions on every form field, and no reliance on color alone for status.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences, and no autoplaying media.
  • Responsive layouts that work at 320 pixels wide and at 200 percent zoom.
  • Comparison tables with proper header cells and a text label next to every symbol.

Known gaps

  • The scheduling calendar on the demo page is provided by Cal.com, and we do not control its accessibility. If you cannot use it, write to hello@incidentkit.ai and we will book the time for you.
  • The illustrated product window on the home page is a visual aid. The same information is available as text on the product tour and the product pages.
  • Some older source documents we link to, such as regulator PDFs, may not be fully accessible.
